Skanör's charm

Skanör is one of Sweden's oldest market towns, with medieval roots from the era of the great herring trade. Today the village is known for its picturesque small-boat harbour, the open market square, the whitewashed church and a row of well-loved seafood restaurants along the waterfront. All around stretches the Flommen nature reserve, with birdlife, coastal meadows and quiet sandy beaches — perfect for long walks and calm swims.
